David Miskelly MVB MRCVS (Partner) David grew up in rural Northern Ireland. Graduating from Dublin Vet School in 1995, he initially worked in mixed practice in Derbyshire before deciding Scotland was a much nicer place (!) and moved to Torphins in 1997. After working as an assistant, he became a partner in 2001 and is the mainstay on the farm side of our practice. Outwith work David and his wife, Louise, have a young family to keep them busy. Bill enjoys time out with his dogs and is very keen on outdoor pursuits especially fishing, hillwalking, cycling and cross-country skiing if weather allows, and if he can keep up with his children!
Leanne is a local lass, born and raised in Banchory. She came to Woodside frequently both as a school and university student. After graduating from Glasgow Vet School in 1999, she worked in mixed practice in North Wales. After completing a residency and a Diploma in Bovine Reproduction at Liverpool University in 2003, she remained there to co-run its Farm Animal Practice. She returned to private practice in 2005 working in Lancashire before finally returning home in 2008. Ramsay grew up in Aberdeen and graduated from Edinburgh Vet School in 1973. He worked in various practices within the UK before coming to Torphins in 1983. He became a partner in 1984 and was one of the founders of the clinic as we know it today. He was involved in its planning and construction in 1987 utilising his wealth of knowledge gleaned from working within one of Britain's first veterinary hospitals in Hampshire. In 2012 Ramsay retired from the partnership but we are very lucky to be able to maintain his considerable experience within the practice on a part-time basis doing small animal consultations and surgery. This is especially of reassurance to the younger members of our team. Ramsay and his wife, Angela, have 3 grown up children. Ramsay easily occupies his, now extra, free time being an enthusiastic hill walker, mountain biker and swimmer. He is also a keen amateur historian with a particular interest in naval history.

Rachael decided to head homeward, joining us in May 2014.When not at work she can be found out on the hill with her spaniel, Clover, or busy in her kitchen baking something yummy!
